I do love the feel of my favorite pen wrting on paper but I must say I love the visual benefits ( and the added extra of saving a few trees ) this blogs gives. It has now become my “to do list” for my collections. Today’s new inspiration is this photo of the jewelry hanging on Margherita Missoni’s wall in her apartment. The sewn pieces are amazing!

The new Bazaar magazine has an article on graphic designer Alexey Brodovitch. In that article there are two pictures strongly resembling the work of painter Jean Cocteau ( also a Bazaar contributor back in the 50’s ). My father copied his work ( and other very famous artists bringing him much fame in the 70’s ) and one of the “Cocteau-esque” paintings he did is above on the right. This one is a self portrait. I am going to do a whole series incorporating my dad’s art into my own Project Ecoart.

This lamp was featured in this month’s House and Garden and is the new inspiration for my home decor line. I will definitely be researching eco and recycleable papers to make my own shades.

Just started a blog for revolutionmalibu.tv
It will give an idea of the lifestyle we have here in Malibu and the principals behind Revolution Malibu. My friends and I are artists and designers and have always created using recycled materials, so this emerging of “eco-attitudes” just fuels our creative juices… Malibu has always been very environmentally aware so it’s nice that everyone else is starting to chime in. Please visit the blog, there are wonderful pictures of where we live and play…

Authentic pics from the Malibu shores in the 60’s. I had to incorporate this into my new collection since I am a Malibu resident and have been going to these beaches since I was a kid. I have wonderful memories of my petite French mother driving us over Kanan-Dume Rd. We honked as we went through the tunnels in her 70’s white Cadillac ( we affectionately called the “Batmobile” for it’s winged lights ). As I drive P.C.H. daily, I am reminded of the wonderful experiences my brothers and I had everytime I drive by the “FOOD” signs on the snack stands at Zuma Beach. As a parent now in my 40’s it’s awesome to be able to recognize and appreciate these memories on a daily basis.

This is one of the first pieces of my new collection. The artwork is: recycleable papers, water based eco friendly non toxic paints and eco resin on 4″x4″ marble.

Welcome to my blog…I started this blog as an expression of creativity and to share my work with others. I would love fore everyone who visits this blog to share their eco-friendly art with me as well. All of the surfaces I use are earth friendly or recycleable as are the paints, handmade papers and the eco resins I use. Years ago I made art using spray paints and toxic epoxy…so glad I found an alternative!
